Summary of Position:

The position is essential in the design and development of next generation video products, such as digital video camcorders and still cameras, video-over-IP, DVR transcoding and surveillance.

Working closely with design engineers, participating in hardware testing and helping to ensure the Company delivers an error free ASIC product to customers on time is fundamental to the responsibility. Some travel may be required.

Essential Responsibilities:Requirements:

• Work closely with internal VLSI and Microcode teams to create and extend Qpixel’s product lines.
  
• Contribute to the development of multidimensional designs involving the layout of complex integrated circuits (specifically Video Camera applications).
  
• Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level design to synthesis, place, route, timing and power use.
  
• Analyze equipment to establish operation data, conducts experimental tests, and evaluates results.
  
• May also review vendor capability to support development.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

• B.S. in Computer Science or related field minimum, MS preferred
  
• 5+ years of experience in C, C++ and at least one assembly language as well as driver related functionality with working experience in digital video related field. Mpeg4 or H.264 experience is preferential.
  
• Expert knowledge with Digital Rights Management, CPRM/CPPM or other applicable copy protection standards. Working experience in complicated system software design, preferably in digital video related field.
  
• Proficient in handling timers, DMA, interrupts, cache, race conditions, boot loader, device registration with the OS, memory usage, various bus types including SDIO, PCI, USB, IDE.
  
• Should have strong experience with all aspects of operating system porting and BSP functionality.
  
• Experience in one or more of the following Operating Systems is a plus: uITRON, Linux, VxWorks, Windows, WinCE.
  
• Mpeg4 or H.264 experience is desirable.
